English star Jenny Sinclair releases her CD debut One More Time
Jenny Sinclair just released her debut CD "One More Time", as a tribute to the Carpenters. The tracks included standards of the Carpenters and one original song written by Sinclair "SWEET CHILD OF MINE".
ONE MORE TIME is promising. It should help launch the career of Sinclair who has a very captivating and well-crafted voice. The musical arrangements of her songs are just perfect. Sinclair is probably the only English singer in the United Kingdom who retraces and depicts the true spirit of the Carpenters. This debut CD adds country music beauty to the mainstream music and pop culture of the British island. This very fine singer proved to be professional and extremely talented. The merits of Sinclair are noticed. For, she revived the old style of the Carpenters with a modern musical feeling and an intense, passionate yet tender musical interpretation which was not exactly the signature of the Carpenters. Sinclair's debut CD will be well received in the United Kingdom and the United States. Nostalgia and innovation characterize the talent of Jenny Sinclair. Acquire a copy of her recordings. You will treasure it. First class.
CD Review from Joan Knapp - (U.S.A.)
A Carpenters Fan.
Hi, Jenny,
Your "One More Time" CD arrived a few days ago and I finally found a time when I could sit back, close my eyes, and enjoy listening to it uninterrupted. I was not disappointed by any means! It is every bit as beautiful as I had been led to believe.
I like the fact that you chose some of the Carpenter's lesser known songs for this CD. However, I wondered if there is any chance that you might someday do a second CD with some of their more popular songs on. I know I could get such a CD made by another tribute singer, but you give their songs such a unique, heartfelt touch that I would very much prefer one done by you. Just wondering.
God bless you, your family, and your talent.- Joan

"The album One More Time arrived at my desk recently, after I had been in contact with Jenny. To be honest, I was not expecting an album of this calibre but rather more something akin to someone trying very hard to be Karen Carpenter. Well, if ever there was a transmigration of souls, this seems to have happened as Jenny just happens to sound like Karen. The album is full of beauty and the honesty and warmth of Jenny's voice just flows through; it's like that cool breeze on a tropical breeze, totally natural and very refreshing. To record numbers such as 'Now' and 'Maybe it's you' give further credibility to this tribute (note not cover) album. Such lesser known numbers show that Jenny is not just being Karen Carpenter, but rather being herself singing such numbers. It would have been very easy to have recorded The Carpenters' hits and no doubt it would have sold well. This album pays tribute to a well known and loved artist by someone who has the talent to match her. I wish her well." - Tony Bates

"This world is a tough place sometimes, Jenny knows this all too well, and every little aspect of beauty needs to be grasped and cherished, when the world lost Karen Carpenter, it lost a part of that, but it would seem that God decided to give us a second chance in the voice of Jenny!
I have never heard someone sound so close and at the same time deliver such heart felt vocals, I wish her all the success in the world and wait eagerly to hear more.
P.S hurry up and do solitaire lol
yours sincerely Jon"
CD Review from Henry Jarosz - (Poland)
A Carpenters Fan "Dear Jenny,
The repertoire of "One More Time" is composed in very good taste. It creates an amazing climate of peace and reflection. It is good that there are less known songs from the debut CD "Carpenters Magic". For me, as a Carpenters' fan there was a surprise in the character of "Invocation". I have never heard that before, because I could never reach the record "Ticket to Ride". The whole record is done perfectly, you must have put all of your heart into this work. "The Bacharach Medley" is a very good idea. It adds tempo to the whole work. What was very surprising for me is that the choirs are indeed identical to Karen's and Richard's. It's amazing! (aren't they real ??) Also very beautiful is the last song, your own, "Sweet Child of Mine". It has a beautiful melody.
For me "One More Time" is a very successful enterprise. I am happy and thank people like you that the Carpenter's music is still around. For their fans it is an honour, when they can listen to their songs in a slightly different arrangement. It's really unique!
Big thanks to you and your band, Jenny." - Henry Jarosz

"Dear Jenny,
Congratulations! "One More Time" is amazing! My dad wrote all that I could say... It's really perfectly done! The choirs are so beautiful! You choose really great songs! It is such an amazing impression to listen to it in a different performance. I am sure that Karen would be proud of you! You're the only one who can sing her songs and don't spoil them! You're really amazing! Congratulations and good luck!!!!!!!!!!!" - Agnes Jarosz

"Sweet Child Of Mine is an outstanding song. I hope you can interest a major record company/publisher to do something with this. It is a very moving song. Thank you for writing it.
I think your performances on the tributes are sensitive and suit your voice well… whoever did your arrangements is very good. You bring the Carpenters music to life. So much of their music is melancholy, but you've chosen songs that uplift… Warm regards, - Wes Jay."

"Hi, My name's Eve. I'm from Poland and I am a friend of Agnes & Henry. He gave me your CD - ' Carpenters Magic "One More Time" two weeks ago. Every day I listen to this CD. It makes me relax. In todays world we need such music. From all of them I think ' Sweet Child of Mine' is the best. I'm a mother of two children. They are my priceless treasure. There are many songs about love but not about such love.
I think, you shouldn't stop writing songs. What you do is great. I love it.
Love, Eve"

"The songs included on this CD are composed in the way I like :) All of them make one 'story' - the beginning is very calm but the listener can feel that something will happen. I've listened to your songs in depth, at night and with headphones - the impression was huge. Nice vocal and gentle sounds of the band and chorus which made me feel very relaxed.
I hope I will be able to listen to your new songs on the next album - you know that there are people who need such music.
Best regards and thank you - Marcin Sroczyk"
